Lori Riemenschneider Social Worker

Lori is our gifted and compassionate social worker. She currently helps Ms. Whitehead’s clients understand the blending of the law with the role of caregiver and advocates for elders, those with severe mental illness, and folks with disabilities.  This mother of three graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelors in Social Work and a Certification in Parish Work. She’s passionate about educating the community, families, and caregivers on the rules, roles, rights, requirements and responsibilities of caring for elders. To Lori, it’s the key to quality care for elders and persons with disabilities. She has practiced as a Geriatric Care Manager for over 15 years, provides care management coordination and expertise for San Antonio area Trust Departments, is a founding member and past President of Alamo Chapter Young Men’s Service League (which promotes mentoring and volunteerism for young men during their high school years), has served as Certified Care Manager since 2009, is a certified Assisted Living Manager and member of the Alzheimer’s Association Education Committee, and has been a licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 1982. As a practicing Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Lori operated Retirement Communities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and Alzheimer’s Units. Lori also worked closely with the “Mother” of Hospice in San Antonio and area Hospice Programs to incorporate Hospice into Long Term Care facilities. She speaks frequently for state and local agencies and churches including Texas State Bar, Alzheimer’s Association and UT Health Science Center Medical School. In addition to her three sons, Lori has two amazing daughters-in-law, four granddaughters, and a husband of 55 years.
